I've been playing around, not really making anything that I'm too happy with, but I'm working at it!

This week I pulled out my set of crayons and had at it, just playing and having fun....it was really enjoyable, so I think I might continue at it for a bit! Here's some results, mainly doodles from work and such, plus some watercolour/crayon experiments.

A drawing to show Dorian what a yeti trucker he looked like in his silly hat.

Knitting with 11 fingers.

Random things that were lying around while I worked open hours at Inkstorm.

And: I have a little comic in 'Don't Touch Me' Issue 19 which is launching at the Toronto Comic Jam on Tues, Feb 24 9pm-12am at The Cameron House, 408 Queen West, Spadina-Queen, Toronto.

"With comics by Dalton Sharp, Dave Lapp, Jason Marcy, Hugo, Jess Fink, Lonnie Allen, Cam Lee, Jason Marcy, Hartley Lin, Colleen MacIsaac, Dave Sherrill, Caanan Grall, Nick Maandag, Brian Brown, and many more."

Thanks to this kind dude for asking me to be a part of it!

These are all really great! I especially like the way you draw hands. Thanks for the postcard! You're totally invited to hang out with me if you're ever in Ireland. Sure, I'll be heading to Canada for a year after college anyway. Cheers!

I love YOU muchly! Crayons are so good, I can't believe I've had this set of them for so long and never used them....I probably had to buy them for a first year drawing class or something, haha.

I was going to say that one is especially cool. Somebody always beats me to the stuff I want to comment on... but I do anyway. I blame Jess' awesome taste.

I'm going to break the chain of people saying they love hands and say that my favorite thing here is the half-eaten pear. And the blue reading lady looks like she should be in an F. Scott Fitzgerald book. Also, I LOVE CRAYONS.

Crayons are wonderful things! The set I have even has a crayon sharpener built in! I remember melting down bits of leftover crayons when I was young into tart-pan shaped UBER CRAYONS that were mainly brown.
And that pear was a mighty tasty pear. One of my jobs is at a gallery with a terrible view of things to draw, so I drew my lunch instead.

I am of the belief that we could solve all of the world's problems if we just locked everyone with a problem in a room with a box of crayons and enough fresh paper. Crayons make everyone happy.

Hooray for lunch!

These are fantastic drawings made with colored wax! I like the knitting with eleven fingers, it's cool how you used the crayons as a resist.

I think I'll be playing with that sort of thing more! It was funny, when I started noodling around with crayons I was at my gallery job surrounded by paintings that used oil and encaustic, and it only just struck me that I was using coloured wax for art while surrounded by coloured wax!

Thanks! I've made a few over the years, but not really on a regular basis.
